HRH The Princess Royal visits MilSys (UK) Ltd
On Monday 26th October 2009, HRH the Princess Royal visited MilSys (UK) Ltd in Hereford to mark the national and international success of the company. MilSys (UK) Ltd provides Deployable Rapid Assembly Shelters (DRASH) to the UK MoD and international markets.
HRH the Princess Royal was met by Managing Director, Andy Cowling and members of the Management Team, before touring the Assembly Plant. During the tour, HRH the Princess Royal met members of staff before having a first-hand look at the company's core products. These include the DRASH, equipped with Deployable Command and Control Equipment (DC2E); sustainably developed ablution systems for use by the military in operational theatres, or the construction industry; and, from within MilSys' medical product range, a new UK haemostatic agent called Celox that controls severe bleeding fast.
Before leaving to meet with other representatives of the Herefordshire And Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, Her Royal Highness unveiled a plague to commemorate her visit.
